Our location policy
For security and operational reasons, you must have a home address and be physically based in England or Wales to be considered for this role. "Home" means the primary address you provide on your application, and any plans to change this address must be discussed with and approved by your line manager in advance. While this role involves home working, it's not a "work from anywhere" job, and you must be able to travel when needed.

Who We are:
Citizens Advice LeicesterShire is an independent and local non-profit organisation. Our purpose is “Sharing knowledge to transform lives”. By listening to the needs of our communities and clients, we act to provide accessible, high-quality information, advice and education to anyone who needs it. We empower individuals with the tools and support they need to build resilience and thrive. By working in partnership with national and local organisations, we’re able to advocate for a fairer society, amplifying the voices of those often unheard. We demonstrate and uphold our values: we care, we help, we excel and we challenge to achieve positive outcomes for the people we help. Last year we supported over 31,000 people across Leicester and Leicestershire, securing them £14 million in additional income.

About the role:
We’re looking a proactive and versatile County Advice Session Worker to work across our County branches and community settings, providing generalist advice face to face, by phone and email.

This role will be suitable for someone who has a flexible mindset and a ‘can do’ attitude ready to adapt to new challenges. A background in an advice giving or customer service setting is desirable but not essential. We’ll provide full training on advice areas and a well-planned induction.

Why work with us?
We’re a team that looks out for each other. The work we do is important and can be tough, so we’ve built a community where collaboration and support come first. We’re serious about helping you grow, with ongoing training and development to help you build your skills.

Your voice matters here. We want you to share your ideas and challenge us to be better. It’s an exciting time to join us as we continue to grow, and you’ll have a real opportunity to help shape the future of our services and make a lasting impact in our community.
