Who We are:
Citizens Advice LeicesterShire is an independent and local non-profit organisation. Our purpose is “Sharing knowledge to transform lives”. By listening to the needs of our communities and clients, we act to provide accessible, high-quality information, advice and education to anyone who needs it. We empower individuals with the tools and support they need to build resilience and thrive. By working in partnership with national and local organisations, we’re able to advocate for a fairer society, amplifying the voices of those often unheard. We demonstrate and uphold our values: we care, we help, we excel and we challenge to achieve positive outcomes for the people we help. Last year we supported over 31,000 people across Leicester and Leicestershire, securing them £14 million in additional income.

About the role:
Are you an efficient organiser with a talent for IT, an eye for detail and a friendly phone manner that puts people at ease? If this sounds like you, then perhaps you could be the new lynchpin of our team! This is much more than your average admin role – with a chance to learn a whole host of new skills that will open doors across our entire service.

You’ll work hand-in-hand with the County Service Manager to keep our generalist service running like clockwork. You’ll be the go-to person for both staff and volunteers, ensuring everyone has the administrative support they need. You’ll be based in one of our branches (Blaby, Coalville, Market Harborough or Hinckley) with travel to other Leicestershire locations and the flexibility to work from home.

What we need you to do:

Schedule and manage client appointments, handle email and phone inquiries, and gather client feedback to help us continuously improve.
Oversee our diaries and rosters, manage incoming mail, and handle data entry into our systems.
Manage email accounts, take minutes at meetings and draft letters and templates.
Order supplies, answer phone calls, and help keep our information systems up-to-date.

Why work with us?
We make a difference. We believe in levelling the playing field.

This is an exciting time to join Citizens Advice LeicesterShire as we deliver our five-year living strategy. We are committed to creating a workplace where wellbeing and inclusion are at the heart of everything we do, and this role will be central to that vision. You will have opportunities for personal development, to create meaningful change and deliver real impact both internally and across the region.

We value lived experience as much as professional qualifications, and we particularly welcome applications from disabled people, people with physical or mental health conditions, LGBT+ and non-binary people, and people from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities.

Benefits include:

Flexible home-based working
Professional development opportunities
