Reverse Jobs Fair - 30 April 2026, 10am - 1pm

Recruit differently. Discover untapped talent.

Join our Reverse Jobs Fair and meet candidates with SEND who are ready to work.

This unique recruitment event flips the traditional jobs fair on its head. Instead of employers hosting stalls, young adults who are finishing a year of immersed, business led supported internship with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) take centre stage — showcasing their skills, ambitions, and suitability for real roles.

We’re inviting employers to attend with live or upcoming vacancies and connect directly with motivated candidates who are keen to move into paid employment.

Ellie

I am working as a housekeeper on an adult medical ward and previously worked on a children's ward at the Leicester Royal Infirmary. I am open to different opportunities, such as retail, care, or catering.

Alex

I currently work in transport PATS team at Leicester city council and I would like a customer facing admin role.

Phoenix

I work in the Jewry wall museum cafe with Leicester city council and I would like to get paid work front of house in a restaurant.

Shayna

Shayna was on Project Search in the 2024-2025 cohort and worked in various domestic roles at the Leicester Royal Infirmary. She excelled in this role and gained paid employment in the same environment as her last work placement, which is in Cardiac Paediatric Intensive Care.

K-ci

I have worked at The Leicester Marriott Hotel since September as a linen porter. My job consists of collecting dirty linen, transporting clean linen to the cleaners, moving and filling/emptying cages with dirty/clean linen, and requests for the cleaners.

Priya

I am an intern at De Montfort University’s Food Village, where I help with washing up, cleaning tables, mopping, making pizza boxes, restocking shelves, and checking fridge temperatures. All the staff and my job coach are friendly and supportive, which makes my experience positive and rewarding. I am excited to continue my journey and look forward to working at Subway for my next internship rotation.
