Job Overview
Trust We Care is a CQC-registered supported living provider, offering supported living for adults with autism, learning disabilities and mental health needs across Leicestershire in people’s own homes. We’re looking for a warm, responsible Support Worker to help the people we support live independent, fulfilling lives.
What you’ll be doing
● Providing day-to-day care in line with each person’s care plan — promoting independence, dignity and choice
● Administering medication safely — full training given, no prior experience needed
● Prompting and supporting with personal care, which may include continence, health and hygiene needs
● Acting as keyworker for an individual, taking ownership of their care and support (GP appointments, advocation, etc)
● Helping people access social, leisure, educational and community activities
● Supporting everyday tasks at home — cooking, shopping, keeping their space tidy
● Recording accurate notes and communicating via our Carer App
Skills and Qualifications required
What we’re looking for:
● Care Certificate, or willing to complete one in your first 12 weeks (online training provided)
● Willing to submit to an Enhanced DBS check (we cover the initial cost) and maintain Update Service Subscription
● A good level of literacy and strong communication skills
● A genuine commitment to supporting vulnerable adults with dignity
● Able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
● Flexible to work variable shifts, including long days, sleep-ins and waking nights
Desirable: QCF Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care, previous care experience, and a full UK driving licence.
