Arch Futures is looking for compassionate, reliable and dedicated Support Workers to join our growing team.

We support individuals with a variety of needs across Leicester and Leicestershire, including complex clinical care, learning disabilities, mental health needs and behaviours that may challenge.

This is a hands-on care role, and applicants must be comfortable providing personal care. Depending on the individual you are supporting, this may include assistance with washing, dressing, toileting, continence care, mobility and other aspects of daily living.

Our care packages operate across different hours and shift patterns, so hours will vary depending on the needs of the service. Applicants must be flexible, and weekend availability is essential.

Due to the field-based nature of our services, drivers are highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

Provide person-centred support based on each individual's needs, choices and care plan.

Support individuals with personal care while maintaining their dignity and privacy.

Support individuals with complex clinical needs following appropriate training and competency assessments.

Support individuals who may display behaviours that challenge.

Assist with mobility, daily living activities and accessing the community.

Promote independence and encourage individuals to develop and maintain their skills.

Provide emotional and practical support.

Work collaboratively with families, colleagues and other professionals.

Follow care plans, risk assessments and behaviour support plans.

Maintain clear and accurate care records.

Report and appropriately respond to any incidents, concerns or changes in an individual's needs.

Follow safeguarding, health and safety and company policies at all times.

Skills and Qualifications required

What We Are Looking For

Applicants should:

- Be compassionate, patient and reliable.
- Be comfortable providing personal care.
- Be willing to support individuals with complex clinical needs and/or behaviours that may challenge.
- Have a good level of spoken and written English, as clear communication and accurate care documentation are essential.
- Be flexible with working hours and shift patterns.
- Be available to work weekends.
- Be able to work independently as well as part of a wider care team.
- Ideally hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle due to the field-based nature of the role.
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Previous experience within Health & Social Care is desirable; however, we will consider suitable candidates with the right attitude and willingness to learn. Relevant training will be provided based on the care package you are allocated to.

Hours per week

Working Hours Arch Futures provides care and support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Shift lengths and working hours vary between care packages and are based on the needs of the individuals we support. Applicants should therefore not expect a fixed Monday-to-Friday working pattern. Flexibility and weekend availability are essential requirements of the role.
