Role Overview
We are a small, dedicated team of four looking for a reliable and practical individual to join us as a Sign Fitter. This role is perfect for a DIY enthusiast or experienced handyman who takes pride in their work and enjoys a "no-frills," stable environment. You will be responsible for installing and maintaining a variety of signs at both residential and commercial properties across the East Midlands. Because we are a small team, there is no formal career progression or management ladder; instead, we offer a steady, flexible, and long-term position where your practical skills are truly valued. Key Responsibilities Installation: Fitting a wide range of internal and external signage, including wooden signs, fascia panels, and post-mounted boards. Woodwork: Using your DIY skills to assemble, cut, or repair sign frames and mounting structures. Site Work: Travelling to various locations across the East Midlands to perform installations, often independently or in pairs.Maintenance: Carrying out minor repairs or replacements of existing signs to ensure they remain safe and professional.Van Management: Taking care of the provided company van and ensuring it is stocked with necessary tools.
Skills and Qualifications required
What We’re Looking For
DIY & Handyman Skills: Strong practical ability with hand and power tools is essential.
Woodwork Knowledge: Experience working with wood (e.g., building frames, simple joinery) is a major plus.
Driving Licence: A full, clean UK driving licence is required to operate the company van.
Reliability: As a small team of four, we need someone who is dependable and can manage their own time effectively.
Communication: A friendly, professional manner when dealing with residential and commercial clients.
Hours per week
