Job Overview
Main Tasks/Duties and Responsibilities Day-to-day responsibilities
Site preparation and clearance, and maintaining general site tidiness – assisting in maintaining site security
Servicing and repairs to machinery and new plant
Support the senior fitting team
Undertaking tasks to assist directed by Line manage
Identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair; to ensure compliance with agreed codes, laws, working practices and health and safety
Working using your initiative within agreed roles – do not wait to be asked!
Ensure compliance with agreed codes, legislation, and procedures including health and safety
Contribute to those of the team as a whole
Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures, including those relating to hygiene, respect for other team members, time keeping and flexibility.
Essential Abilities/ Competencies of this job role Requisite knowledge of the tools, equipment, and materials common to the trade
Effective verbal and written skills coupled with strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
Experience working in the similar business
Have access to own tools to use alongside company tools
12 months experience in an engineering setting
Willing to learn and grow in the role
Demonstrate knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulations
Be flexible and willing to work as part of a team
Be friendly and approachable
Good attention to detail
Skills and Qualifications required

Good level of fitness
Able to work in all weather in an outdoor environment
Full driving licence
Hours per week
Your usual hours will be from 7 am to 3 pm, Monday -Friday (overtime can be available).
