Job Overview
Leicestershire & Rutland County FA (LRCFA) is pleased to offer this full-time of Referee Development Officer with a key focus of recruiting and converting new referee through the delivery of our Referee Course program as well as post referee course support offer. Additionally, the role will oversee the appointment of match officials to County Cup competitions as well as partner organisation game assignments such as LCFC Academy games and BUCS fixtures.
This role will be managed by our Workforce Lead who leads on our Referee Development offer with a key focus on progression, development and retention of Match Officials across the county.

LRCFA is the governing body for football in Leicestershire & Rutland. We are responsible for leading and serving the game at amateur level, a sector widely referred to as ‘Grassroots’ football.
LRCFA is committed to making the game of football as safe and enjoyable as possible for all those involved. LRCFA works closely with The FA, the game’s Governing Body, in order to ensure that all safety standards are met.
• To support the delivery of The FA National Game Strategy and the Leicestershire & Rutland County FA (L&RCFA) Business Strategy.
• Deliver, implement, and execute Referee Recruitment and Conversion Strategies to meet the demand of local grassroots football.
• To act as the Lead Tutor in the delivery of 16 Leicestershire and Rutland County FA Referee Courses, to meet the business needs of the organisation.
• To oversee Referee appointments delegated to the County FA by partner organisations and for County Cup competitions.
• To contribute to the effective implementation of The FAs Safeguarding Operating Standard.
• To support the adaptation of the FA Technology systems across Grassroots football.
To comply with FA rules, regulations, policies, procedures and guidance that are in place from time to time.
Hours per week
35 Hours Per Week (Evening and Weekend Work will be required from time to time)
