Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic KS3 & KS4 English Teacher/Tutor to join AA Tuition Centre in Leicester. The role involves delivering engaging, face-to-face small-group tuition in English Language and English Literature to students in Years 7–11.Key responsibilities include planning and delivering lessons aligned with the UK curriculum and GCSE requirements, supporting students with exam preparation and technique, assessing progress, providing constructive feedback, and adapting teaching to meet different abilities and learning needs. This is a part-time role, with teaching hours arranged according to the tuition timetable.
Skills and Qualifications required
Strong subject knowledge in KS3 and GCSE English Language and English Literature.
Good understanding of the UK curriculum and GCSE examination requirements.
Experience teaching or tutoring secondary school students.
Ability to plan engaging lessons and differentiate teaching for different abilities.
Strong communication and classroom management skills.
Ability to assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
A supportive, patient and student-centred approach.
PGCE/QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification is highly desirable.
Enhanced DBS clearance, or willingness to obtain the appropriate clearance.
Experience preparing students for GCSE examinations is highly desirable.
