Job Overview
Are you an experienced, high calibre and immaculately presented Security Officer who possess an abundance of self-pride? The Security and Protective Division at Bradburys Group is currently recruiting experienced Event Security Staff across Leicestershire.
This role is critical to the delivery of safe, compliant, and well-managed events, ensuring the protection of people, assets, and reputation. Officers will operate in dynamic environments requiring strong situational awareness, effective crowd interaction, and decisive incident management, while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and brand representation.
Responsibilities:
Following an induction, on-boarding and training schedule, you will be required to:
- Provide a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for event attendees, staff, performers, and contractors
- Deliver front-line security presence aligned with event security plans and licensing conditions
- Demonstrate high standards of customer service, remaining approachable, polite, and professional at all times
- Manage access control, ticket checks, wrist-band verification, and perimeter integrity
- Support crowd management and flow control, identifying and mitigating congestion or disorder
- Monitor behaviour and identify anti-social conduct, prohibited items, and suspicious activity
- Respond proportionately to incidents, disputes, or emergencies in accordance with site SOPs
- Maintain accurate incident reports, activity logs, and handover documentation
- Liaise effectively with event control, supervisors, stewards, emergency services, and venue management
- Identify and report health and safety hazards, welfare concerns, or environmental risks
- Support emergency procedures including evacuation, lockdown, or medical response
- Protect and enhance the client’s brand reputation and public confidence
Skills and Qualifications required
Essential requirements:
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience within the security industry, preferably within events or public-space environments
- Valid SIA Front-Line licence (Door Supervision or Security Guarding)
- Emergency First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid Certificate
- Five-year checkable employment history
- Proof of Right to Work in the UK
- Excellent English communication skills (verbal, written, and incident reporting)
- Professional appearance in line with event presentation standards
- Ability to remain calm, alert, and decisive in fast-moving or high-pressure situations
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage conflict professionally
- Ability to work independently and as part of a coordinated event team
- Excellent timekeeping, reliability, and situational awareness
Desirable but not essential:
- Fire Marshal Qualification
- Full UK Driving licence
