Job Overview

Main Tasks/Duties and Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, modify and repair a variety of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Communicate and adopt safe systems of work (RAMS)
  • Determine efficient work procedures and techniques.
  • Complete installation test reports and job documentation
  • Ensure all tools and equipment in use is certified and/or calibrated.
  • Maintain positive relationships with client representatives and other third parties.
  • Undertake specialist training as required and keep up to date with statutory and legislative requirements.
  • Demonstrate and apply the principles of continuous improvement to achieve ‘Best Practice’
  • Ensuring that quality control standards are met.
  • Maintaining a production schedule.
  • Testing products for their functionality.
  • Troubleshooting and stress-testing products to minimize problems or recalls.
  • Reporting and detailing product malfunctions.
  • Adhering to assembly safety standards.
  • Undertaking tasks to assist directed by Line manage
  • Working using your initiative within agreed roles – do not wait to be asked!
  • Ensure compliance with agreed codes, legislation, and procedures including health and safety
  • Contribute to those of the team as a whole
  • Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures, including those relating to hygiene, respect for other team members, time keeping and flexibility

Skills and Qualifications required

  • You will need 6 months’ experience of industrial electrical installations
  • A good understanding of electrical control & safety circuits, electrical schematics, and comfortable working from P&ID/layout drawings
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Effective verbal and written skills coupled with strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Be flexible and willing to work as part of a team
  • Be friendly and approachable
  • Good attention to detail
  • Good level of fitness 
  • Able to work in all weather in an outdoor environment 
  • Demonstrate good time management and project management skills
  • Level 3 qualified electrician 

Hours per week

Your usual hours will be from 7 am to 3 pm, Monday -Friday (overtime at weekend can be available). However, you will be expected to work as and when is necessary to meet the needs of the Business.
