Job Overview
Are you passionate about supporting local economic growth and regeneration? We are looking for a proactive and organised individual to join our Economic Development and Regeneration Team to help us helping to deliver a range of initiatives that support businesses, communities and place-based growth across the district of North West Leicestershire. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering parts of the Council’s Economic Growth Plan, providing essential project support, coordination and reporting across a portfolio of regeneration and economic development projects.
About the role; You will support the delivery of a variety of projects and programmes, including grant schemes and regeneration initiatives. Working closely with Senior Economic Development Officers, you will contribute to project coordination, maintain accurate records, support stakeholder engagement, and help with monitoring and reporting progress and outcomes. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organised, collaborative and keen to develop their experience in economic development and regeneration.

36.25 hrs per week with a starting annual salary of £28,598 (pay award pending)

In the role of Economic Development Officer it is essential that you can answer yes to the
following criteria:
• Are you eligible to work in the UK?
• Do you have previous experience of working on town centre, regeneration,
heritage, arts, events or visitor economy initiatives?
• Do you have experience of using a range of IT systems, including Microsoft Office
(or equivalent), to support project delivery, monitoring and reporting?
• Do you have experience of working collaboratively as part of a team to support
project delivery?
• Do you hold a current full UK driving licence and have access to a car during
working hours?
