Job Overview

A role where you are actually given the time to care.

Too often in social care, dedicated people find themselves rushing from house to house on short 15-minute visits, constantly watching the clock rather than listening to the person in front of them.

At Bespoke 2U Homecare, we do things differently.

We are a local, independent service founded on first-hand lived experience as long-term family carers and stroke survivors. We know that genuine support is built on patience, dignity, and conversation. That is why we give our team the time they need to deliver care the way it was meant to be provided.

Where we are on our journey:

We are a young, forward-thinking business actively building our momentum across Leicestershire. While we prepare our formal Care Quality Commission registration for regulated personal care over the coming months, our immediate focus is entirely on high-quality, unregulated support, companionship, and daily living help.

Because we are growing steadily, we do not promise a large, rigid block of hours from day one. Instead, we work with you to understand your exact availability, gradually building a consistent, regular run of clients who live close to you and share compatible interests.

What you will be doing day-to-day:

• Providing friendly, unhurried companionship and wellbeing checks to brighten someone's day
• Helping around the house with light domestic tasks, laundry, and tidy living spaces
• Preparing fresh, nutritious meals or batch cooking together in the kitchen
• Assisting with sorting out daily paperwork, reading letters, and managing correspondence
• Accompanying clients out into the community to attend medical appointments, visit local shops, enjoy coffee mornings, or attend places of worship
• Supporting daily routines for individuals recovering from illness or adapting to life after a stroke or long-term health condition such as Parkinsons, MS, Fibromyalgia etc

(Please note: Hands-on personal care such as assistance with washing, bathing, or using the bathroom is not part of this role today. As our service develops and achieves registration, these duties may be introduced in the future with full training).

Who we are looking for:

We hire for character, warmth, and values above all else. Our Leicester community is diverse, and our team warmly welcomes applicants from all backgrounds, ages, and life situations.

This role is ideal for:

• An experienced care professional who loves supporting people but wants an employer who treats them with respect and allows them to work at a human pace
• A retiree or semi-retiree wanting a purposeful, active local role where they can give back to an older or vulnerable neighbour
• A working parent or university student seeking dependable part-time hours that fit smoothly around family life or lectures
• A career changer with zero care background who naturally listens well, shows empathy, and wants to do work that matters

Key essentials:
• A warm, patient, and reliable nature
• Clear spoken and written English communication skills for client notes and wellbeing checks (additional languages are a wonderful asset for our multi-cultural community)
• Ability to commit to some weekend availability, such as alternate weekends or one set weekend day
• A full UK driving licence and access to a car is preferred for community travel, though walking companions and those with alternative transport options within their immediate neighbourhood may be considered
• Successful candidates will need a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check and verified references
• Please note: We do not hold a Home Office sponsorship licence and cannot offer visa sponsorship or support any visa switches.

What we offer in return:

• Starting pay from £13 per hour, plus paid travel allowance at national minimum wage, and mileage paid at 35p per mile
• Generous visit lengths so you never have to rush
• Fully funded induction, ongoing Care Certificate support, and paid specialist training
• A supportive, open leadership door where the founders know your name, listen to your ideas, and support your wellbeing

If you want to be part of a team where your time is respected and your presence makes a measurable difference, we would love to speak with you.
