The Role

We are looking for an experienced, qualified and genuinely passionate Aesthetic Therapist to join the Amedics team on a part-time basis.  This role is a position within a regulated, doctor-led medical aesthetic clinic  and it carries the standards, professionalism and precision that environment demands.

 

You will deliver a range of advanced aesthetic and skin health treatments to our client base predominantly  women across Leicestershire who invest meaningfully in their appearance, wellbeing and skin health. You will be their trusted guide for the therapist-led elements of their Amedics journey, working in harmony with the medical team to ensure every treatment plan is seamless, holistic and results-driven.

 

You will be expected to uphold the Amedics standard in every treatment, every consultation and every conversation. Our clients notice the difference. So will you.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Treatment Delivery

     Deliver advanced aesthetic and skin treatments to the highest clinical and experiential standard

     Conduct thorough pre-treatment skin assessments and client consultations

     Design and recommend bespoke treatment plans in line with each client's skin goals and lifestyle under the  directions of the clinical team

     Perform HydraFacial treatments, (training provided if not already certified)

     Deliver medical-grade chemical peels, tailored to skin type, condition and treatment objective

     Operate medical microneedling devices (SkinPen) to protocol and safety standard

     Deliver UltraClear and 3DMIRACL laser treatments, subject to confirmed competency and clinic protocol

     Support Obagi Medical and ZO Skin Health skincare consultations and homecare programme design

     Administer LED light therapy and any complementary therapist-led modalities within scope

     Provide comprehensive aftercare advice and maintain robust follow-up with clients post-treatment

     Treat every client as an individual with a unique skin story, lifestyle and wellness goal

     Communicate treatment benefits, expected outcomes and post-care guidance with clarity and confidence

     Support client rebooking, treatment plan progression and ongoing skin health reviews

     Recognise when a client's needs or concerns require referral to the medical team

     Contribute to a client journey that feels like luxury and delivers like medicine

Clinical Standards & Compliance

     Maintain all treatments within your scope of practice and qualification

     Adhere to Amedics clinic protocols, contraindication screening procedures and consent processes

     Maintain accurate, contemporaneous client records using the clinic's CRM system

     Ensure the highest standards of hygiene, sterilisation and clinical cleanliness at all times

     Comply with Safety in Beauty certification standards and all relevant regulatory requirements including CQC and Infection Control

     Participate in ongoing CPD, product training and treatment updates as required by the clinic

     Work safely and responsibly within a shared clinical environment alongside GMC-registered practitioners

Team Collaboration & Professional Standards

     Work in close collaboration with the clinical and patient coordination teams including the sales staff

     Contribute to a culture of excellence, mutual respect and continuous improvement

     Support the clinic's retail and skincare recommendation programme (Obagi, ZO Skin Health)

     Attend team meetings, training sessions and any clinic-wide events as appropriate

     Represent Amedics Clinic with professionalism and discretion at all times

Treatments in Scope

 

 

The following represents the core treatment portfolio for this role. Scope will be agreed based on the successful candidate's verified qualifications, competencies and insurance:

 

     HydraFacial (including Wet Diamond Tip and booster protocols) – Amedics is one of Leicester's exclusive providers

     Medical-grade chemical peels (including Obagi Blue Peel Radiance and ZO Skin Health peel protocols)

     Medical microneedling – SkinPen (FDA-cleared, clinically proven for wrinkles and acne scarring)

     UltraClear and 3DMIRACL laser skin rejuvenation – subject to training and competency assessment

     LED photobiomodulation therapy

     Advanced facial treatments incorporating medical-grade actives

     Skin analysis and consultation (including digital skin assessment  for every patient)

     Obagi Medical and ZO Skin Health skincare prescription and homecare coaching

     Pre- and post-care support for injectable and laser treatments delivered by the medical team

     Answer client queries and attend to any online messages regarding treatment and provide time sensitive follow ups

Skills and Qualifications required

Essential criteria are non-negotiable. Desirable criteria distinguish outstanding candidates from strong ones. Both are used in shortlisting and interview assessment.

Level 3 Beauty Therapy or equivalent

 

Level 4 Aesthetic Practitioner qualification or equivalent

 

Formal training and certification in HydraFacial (or willing to train)

 

Certification in medical-grade chemical peels

 

Training and certification in medical microneedling (SkinPen or equivalent)

 

Laser / IPL qualification (Level 4 or above,)

 

UltraClear or equivalent advanced laser device training

 

Obagi Medical or ZO Skin Health training / accreditation

 

First Aid certificate (current)

 

Ongoing CPD demonstrating commitment to advanced aesthetic practice

 

EXPERIENCE

 

Must have post-qualification experience in an aesthetic or skin clinic setting

 

Experience working in a doctor-led, medically regulated clinical environment

 

Demonstrable experience delivering HydraFacial and chemical peel treatments

 

Experience with medical microneedling protocols and aftercare management

 

Experience advising on and prescribing medical-grade skincare homecare programmes

 

Experience operating advanced laser or energy-based devices

 

Experience working with a premium or luxury brand where client experience is central

 

Track record of building long-term client relationships and strong rebooking rates

 

CLINICAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

 

Strong working knowledge of skin anatomy, physiology and common skin conditions

 

Ability to conduct thorough skin assessments and screen for contraindications accurately

 

Competent in selecting and adapting treatments to diverse skin types and tones (including darker skin)

 

Understanding of medical-grade active ingredients and their clinical application

 

Knowledge of pre- and post-care protocols for injectable and laser treatments

 

Familiarity with collagen stimulation treatments and anti-ageing treatment pathways

 

Knowledge of current UK aesthetic industry regulations and scope of practice

PRACTICAL REQUIREMENTS

 

Current and appropriate insurance for all treatments within scope (therapist-led)

 

Right to work in the United Kingdom

 

Availability to work Tuesday to Sunday  on a part-time basis (days to be agreed)  and able to cover holidays

 

Access to reliable transport to reach the Stoneygate, Leicester clinic location

 

 

Hours per week

Full-Time, Tuesday–Saturday, 10:00–18:30 (flexible hours aligned to clinic opening times) and alternate Sundays, part-time considered
