Job Overview
You will be give an overview of students’ rights in the workplace covering such areas as how to apply for jobs safely, the National Minimum Wage, holiday pay and reading payslips. You will also be teaching how to identify the main signs of modern slavery and labour exploitation, and the ways you can report concerns to the GLAA and law enforcement. The Units: + Finding a job + Finding job adverts and understanding job adverts + Genuine and bogus jobs advertisements + Types of employment status + Employment types + Employment rights + Pay and salary + What is exploitation and who is at greater risk of being exploited + Organisations that support victims and help to prevent labour exploitation This course is classroom and online based, featuring videos, case studies and activities.
