We have an exciting opportunity for a Supervisor to join our friendly retail team in Ashby.
The role is a part time position, 5 hours on Sunday. You will be instrumental in managing the day-to-day running of the shop on Sunday's and to provide holiday and sickness cover where necessary.
You will be an integral part of the team and work towards maximising the shop’s sales & profits by using your creativity, communication and customer service skills.
You will be responsible for stock donations, cash management, Gift Aid and administration tasks whilst working within Headway’s policies and procedures at all times. You will also be the main contact in regards to receiving donations from customers, which can be very large and heavy so being aware you are able to manage this element is key to this role. You will also be a person who is able to find the balance of providing excellent customer service whilst managing our Sunday donations.
Charity Retail experience desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.

Skills and Qualifications required

8. Good telephone manner and be able to form positive working relationships with the public and Headway supporters.
9. Willing to be flexible with hours and to take on additional responsibilities if required.
10. Willingness to learn about the consequences of brain injury.
Desirable
• Experience of working or volunteering in a charity shop or retail outlet.
• Experience of supervising or managing colleagues or volunteers
• Experience of handling cash and banking procedures
Please note: There will be training in the first week for this role, which will be in the week days not just Sunday. However, this will be paid and will be just in the first week to train you for your role.
Please also ensure as above you are a person who is able to manage the donations that will come through weekly on a Sunday. You will not be in charge or sorting donations, just simply moving them from the shop floor to the back room.
Hours per week
5 hours per week. Weekly on Sundays. 11-4pm
