Job Overview
- To identify the needs, barriers and issues of faith communities and to develop proposals to help meet those needs
- To manage existing and nurture new relationships and work programmes with stakeholders and partners, especially funders, commissioning bodies and corporate bodies
- To develop a work programme of funded/commissioned events and meetings that benefit the aims of the LCOF
- To manage the Young People Social Media Project and Project Officer
- To deliver timely communication with members, partners and stakeholders and work with the team to keep the website and social media pages up to date
- To support the board and officers in organising and holding meetings and events
- To undertake tasks and initiatives as guided by the LCOF

Person Specification
Essential Requirements:
1. Experience of developing proposals and managing projects
2. Experience of writing funding bids and promoting projects to potential funders or sponsors
3. Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
4. Experience of managing people (volunteers and paid staff)
5. Excellent communication skills and good cultural awareness
6. Good report writing skills
7. Experience of managing good relationships with internal and external stakeholders
8. Experience of work/engagement with senior managers of public, private and third sector organisations
9. Commitment to equality and community cohesion and safeguarding principles
10. Commitment to maintain confidentiality and adherence to Data Protection laws
Desirable Requirements:
1. Experience of undertaking a similar role is desirable
2. Experience of bringing people together and knowledge of the work and aims of the LCOF
3. Familiarity with major different faiths of Leicester and Leicestershire
4. Excellent interpersonal skills
5. Knowledge & awareness of interfaith
6. Knowledge & awareness of faith groups and their activities
7. Good Project Management Skills
Hours per week
Hours: 15 hours per week for 9 months. Additional hours are subject to funding. Duration: 9 Month fixed term contract subject to 3 months probation. Further extension subject to funding. Location: Mainly working from home and on occasion at different locations Salary: From £15 to £17 per hour depending on experience (equivalent to £29,250 to £33,150 pro rata) Resources: Laptop and Mobile Phone available for use
