Job Overview

The Learning and Development Advisor Apprentice post holder will curate learning resources, analyse data aligned to training activity, be a key point of contact for learning and development providers and support the facilitation of workshops and events. They will work closely with the colleagues within the Talent and Organisational Development team and more broadly in People Service to building knowledge, skills and behaviours aligned to the Apprenticeship standard. MAIN DUTIES INCLUDE: Build relationships with colleagues in People Services and across the University to gain insight into how learning and development interventions can support staff Curate resources and materials to support learning and development interventions. This will include tasks including preparing LinkedIn Learning pathways, infographics, presentations and utilising tools that create interactive content Liaise with learning partners, both internal and external to DMU in the organisation of learning and development initiatives When required, escalate issues or questions to the appropriate member of the Learning and Organisational Development team Analyse data aligned to learning and development activity producing summaries and visual representations and contribute organisational reports on staff engagement in learning and development activity. This includes making suggestions to ensure DMU staff are compliant with mandatory training requirement Review and analyse information available on staff utilisation of the LinkedIn Learning Platform and produce summaries to show the topics staff are accessing and make suggestions for topics that could be promoted to staff Support the facilitation of learning and development events and take the lead on topics as knowledge, skills and behaviours expands Suggest how learning and development interventions can be evaluated and utilise available tools and platforms to gain feedback from staff as follow up to events Manage staff learning and development enquires and signposting staff to resources or opportunities where appropriate Contribute to team meetings and share ideas with colleagues of how learning and development activity can support their work Perform any other duties commensurate with the job grade as reasonably required from time to time

Qualifications Required

GCSE or equivalent English & Maths (Grade C/4 or above) essential

Hours per week

Monday - Friday 37 hours p/w
