Candidate: Ideally you will be trained up to QCF level 1 or 2 in Health and Social Care (although full training is provided Right to work in the UK Have previous experience in providing care for people with learning disabilities or Mental Health or similar in a care home or domiciliary care setting. Be flexible with working hours and be able to work contracted hours. Be passionate about caring and have excellent communication skills Contact: Jinal on 0116 243 3806 OFFICE HOURS Mon - Fri 9.00am - 4.00pm Job Role / Main Duties Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Nights Providing support with all aspects of daily life skills including personal care. Maintain safety and security of the service. Facilitating social activities and education/work e.g. visiting family/friends, walks, cinema/theatre, meals out and other recreational activities of their choice. Monitoring individual’s progress and recording notes on daily record sheets. Liaise with families, friends, advocates, external agencies and the management team to provide a consistent approach that meets the individual needs of each service user. Delivering person centred care, supporting individuals to achieve their goals and aspirations. To support service users to access appropriate health care provisions enabling them to make an informed choice regarding any prescribed treatment, seeking advice where necessary. To create opportunities for service users to develop establish and maintain personal relationships and social networks, which encourage greater participation and integration in the community.
