Job Overview

Business administrators have a highly transferable set of knowledge, skills and behaviours that can be applied in all sectors. This includes small and large businesses alike; from the public sector, private sector and charitable sector. The role may involve working independently or as part of a team and will involve developing, implementing, maintaining and improving administrative services. Business administrators develop key skills and behaviours to support their own progression towards management responsibilities. This role is designed to provide an Apprentice with a wide range of experiences and administration skills. You will work with the administrative and operations team which supports a team of around 6 installers. The successful candidate will work across key support functions in the business including customer service, reception and our installation planning. You will undertake a number of general office administration and reception duties and learn about the operation of an office environment. There will be also be the opportunity to assist and support the Sales & Marketing Director on aspects of marketing & promotion as well as new business initiatives to generate different revenue streams. Typically, tasks will include: General office administration: Photocopying, scanning & document management Handling of post (inbound and outbound) Monitoring of supplies and stationery ordering Filing and general office duties Brochure collation & monitoring of showroom to be kept tidy for customer visits Using and helping to maintain and manage administrative systems such as digital archiving and the document management systems Helping with Marketing e.g. social media activity, Before & After photo’s of installations. Print marketing Reception: Answering telephone calls and redirecting as appropriate Answering calls & email enquiries & directing to where appropriate Greeting and looking after clients visiting our Showroom Operational management support: Collating information and documents for forthcoming installations Creation of customer post install packs & registration with compliance bodies. Arranging supplies and equipment for installations

Qualifications Required

Desired qualifications GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and mathematics or equivalent level 2 qualification. Desired skills Attention to detail Excellent communication skills - face to face, by telephone and email with a Good level of written English Able to work on their own but also as part of a team Ability to multi-task Professional Punctual Can-do attitude at all times Personal qualities Ability to get along with a wide group of people face to face & via telephone Quick learner Must be reliable and dependable A willing to “pitch in” at all times and be a team player

Hours per week

Working week Monday - Friday 8.00am - 4.30pm. Total hours per week: 40.00
