Job Overview

You will be responsible in providing excellent levels of customer service to local employers looking for help in finding an apprentice, creating accurate job descriptions and adverts for the LEBC website and social media pages. You will also enthuse young people about the apprenticeship opportunities available locally. Duties may include: To identify companies from LEBC’s work experience database who can offer work experience opportunities to young people, which then may convert to an apprenticeship To manage employer history and individual contacts on our database so that information is retained accurately To set up work experience opportunities for young people who are looking for an apprenticeship by contacting employers directly by telephone and email To help companies profile their apprenticeship opportunities to young people, organising promotional evenings at the work bases or at LEBC offices To keep track of companies and organisations which are offering higher degree apprenticeships so that this information can be shared with young people in schools and colleges To send speculative CVs to companies based on the job preferences of young people To keep up to date on apprenticeship standards so that accurate information can be shared with young people at the apprenticeship events To source case study examples of young people who have progressed within their apprenticeships, so that this information can be shared with young people through presentations To answer the telephone when customers call the office and direct them to the appropriate staff member To prepare resources for school/college presentational events To provide administration support to companies who promote their apprenticeship opportunities at their place of work or at LEBC’s office To carry out other administrative duties as required including keeping up to date with your apprenticeship qualification

Qualifications Required

Desired skills Show high levels of communication skills via the telephone and face to face Good word-processing ability using Microsoft Office packages (Microsoft Word and Excel) Knowledge of using basic formulas in Excel (SUM and COUNTIF) Full driving license and access to a vehicle insured for business use (desirable but not essential) Personal qualities Ability to work to a consistently high standard with minimum supervision Self-motivated and capable of working on own initiative as well as part of a team Ability to adhere to procedures and policies To work a high level of accuracy and attention to detail Capable of organising a workload and manage priorities, meeting all deadlines Ability to cope with difficult clients in a pressurised environment and solve problems Desired qualifications 5 GCSEs at grades A*-C/9-4 (or equivalent) including maths and English Hold a level 3 qualification such as A-Levels, a BTEC or equivalent Future prospects Progression within the company upon completion. Things to consider Competitive salary above the NMW - a £10K starting salary, this will be reviewed dependant on progression in role and apprenticeship, 37.5 hrs per week 25 days Holiday plus 8 bank holidays Time off in Lieu flexible working system Company Pension Scheme Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check

Monday - Friday, shifts TBC. Total hours per week: 37.50
