Position Overview:

Please note, we are recruiting for 3 roles, with hours that may be shared between Babelas and its sister company The Verandah a few doors down on Queens Road.

We are currently hiring for the position of Bartender/Server to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be outgoing, energetic, and customer-focused, with a genuine passion for hospitality. As a Bartender/Server at Babelas, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our guests have an exceptional experience.

Responsibilities:

- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner

- Take drink and food orders accurately and efficiently

- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes

- Ensure that the bar area is clean, organised, and well-stocked at all times

- Monitor and control inventory levels to minimise waste and maximise profitability

- Provide recommendations and suggestions to guests based on their preferences and menu offerings

- Process payments and handle cash transactions accurately

- Uphold all health and safety regulations and sanitation standards

- Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure seamless service

- Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints with patience and professionalism

Desirable Requirements :

- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required

- Must be at least 18 years old

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions

- Knowledge of alcoholic beverages and cocktail preparation is an asset

- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
