A fantastic role in which to gain a full business perspective and enhance your business administration skills. This role is for someone interested in products, working in dispatch section to help dispatch daily orders working to a strict system and also dealing with all online and phone customer enquiries, returns, problems etc. A combination of online IT work, using our Linnworks Programme which handles all our online orders on one single platform. Duties will include: - Print daily orders from Linnworks (software that channels all orders from various platforms in one single place to manage) you will learn about this! - Sort and allocate order to process based on product categories to various individuals - Work in dispatch as part of small team to pack and dispatch orders - Co-ordinate all orders, daily count and processing dispatch on Linnworks and shipping companies - Sort any issues of unfillable orders etc. - Deal with customer queries and issues, via phone and email etc. - Input all dispatch information into online computerised system - Supporting in modernising the dispatch department through enhancing administration systems - Support across the business in admin areas and some warehouse support if needed You will ALSO get involved in the day to day running of the business, which includes: - Answering phones - Assisting the directors with tasks delegated to you - Helping on daily basis with daily orders dispatch as this is essential for you to understand what we sell, how its sold, how its dispatched and the problems we come across This is vital, spending HALF a day with rest of team in handling daily orders/ help pick and pack and finally in reconciling daily orders. The learning process of products we sell is VITAL and the only way is to be involved in the product dispatch area, handling and feeling the products, which in turn help you to work with the products when editing their descriptions online and writing content about them as well as know what customers are talking about when they call etc. For first 6 months, you will be there half a day and then 1/3 day. This also involves with Linnworks co-ordinating and checking orders, queries, scanning of the orders for dispatch linked to Linnworks and producing a manifest using software on Linnworks and Royal Mail postal system to see all orders have done and registered on Linnworks etc. While we have separate packing staff, you will be working with them, helping them each day at rush periods and coordinating the dispatch work directly linked with Linnworks. In short, as a member of the team, you will be involved in every aspect of the daily functioning of the company and work with other members of the team in a cohesive manner. Understanding products and systems. Keeping offices and workplaces clean and tidy and your share of this task etc, What’s required is an openness to learn, genuinely help and be part of the team and be a good communicator. This is essential in a small company with a working team of 10 persons. We work very hard and expect same from anyone who joins our team. It’s a small business and multi-tasking is part of the process.
Desired qualifications; 5 GCSEs at grades D/3 or above (or equivalent) including maths and English
Hours per week
Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:00 (flexible hours may be discussed). Total hours per week: 37.00
