Gain rapid upskilling through block release study, training on a simulated construction site compound, coupled with on the job learning in one of our premier developments, working with, and supported by our experienced contractors. If you are committed to attention to detail and take pride in what you do, we’ll help you achieve your potential. We’ll provide you with the bricklaying skills, development and experience to be a valued member of the team, and if you’ve got what it takes, achieving your Level 2 qualification within an 18 month period. For those with an eye to the future, success as an apprentice bricklayer can also open doors into other construction roles, progressing to Trainee Assistant Site Manager, in only a few years.
Education and Qualifications: Essential: Applicants to the apprenticeship should have achieved or be able to achieve Level 1 (GCSE grade E-D/2-3 in both Maths and English). Candidates will need to attempt Level 2 (GCSE C-A*/4-9), in order to complete the apprenticeship and support to work towards this will be provided. Candidates must be willing to travel to/reside in temporary hotel accommodation (funded by the business), at the NHBC’s Tamworth Bricklaying hub. An apprenticeship bricklayer provides a foundation for a career either at Keepmoat or with our supply chain. We and our supply chain partners are seeking candidates who are able to demonstrate the following in their application and interviews: - A responsible attitude towards safe working practices, especially when working at height, - Practical skills, - Reliable and punctual - Ability to follow plans and instructions, - Good team working skills, and organisational skills
