Job Overview

Base location: Leicester City branch (hybrid — your primary residence must be in England or Wales. For contractual purposes, “home” is the address listed on your job application. Any changes to this address, whether permanent or temporary, must be approved in advance by your line manager)

Contract: Temporary up to 31/03/25, with the possibility of extending a portion of the hours, subject to funding and performance

About the role:
As an Advice Session Worker, you’ll empower individuals facing challenges by providing compassionate guidance and practical solutions. Working flexibly from our Leicester branch, your home and within the community, you’ll be helping people overcome obstacles and create positive change. If you’re passionate about social justice and driven to make a lasting impact, this is your opportunity to make a real difference.

The main purpose of the role:

Engage with clients in a caring and supportive manner, gathering information to fully understand their needs.
Provide clear, accurate and impartial advice on a range of issues, including benefits, housing, and debt.
Guide clients through complex systems, signposting them to appropriate resources and services.
Advocate for clients’ rights, liaising with external agencies on their behalf.
