We are currently seeking an Activities & Lifestyle Co-Coordinator for Abbey House, Care Home. Daily duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Main responsibilities involve being a supportive and important member of a caring team, participate fully in the delivery of care with quality and standard. An Activities & Lifestyle Co-ordinator must be able to give meaningful activities with reference to key-workers and help support a team as well supporting their Home Manager. Planning and delivering meaningful activities whilst being aware of the residents' interests as well as their physical and cognitive abilities Encourage active participation in activities Ensure there is a variety in the programme of daily events Working closely with care staff and family members in getting to know the residents, their interests, their experience and life stories Sharing the best practice and encouraging all staff members to take active interest in providing activities for our residents Ideally you will have previous experience in organising activities within a care setting however we are open for applicants that have all the key skills and abilities. Required Education, Skills and Qualifications Creative with a range of practical skills like arts & crafts Able to motivate and engage with people Able to create an environment that encourages participation and involvement Teamwork is also important as you will work closely with all staff members in sharing the best practice approach. Please note, from the 11th November 2021 anyone working in a CQC-registered care home in England for residents requiring nursing or personal care must have 2 doses of a COVID-19 vaccine unless they have a medical exemption.
